How big is a velomobile?
Not very big. Even a big one is small and low to the ground. Here are a few pictures for size comparison and entry size.
The Borealis V3 is big, for a velo it’s huge. It’s a great grocery carrier and incredibly easy to get in or out of. The cockpit opening is enormous. That has an added benefit – on a hot day you can lift the lip of the lid a little bit and get huge airflow into the bike.
The Quest is as close to a “standard” velomobile as you will ever find. It’s about 30% narrower than the Borealis and doesn’t carry as much, but what it lacks in size it makes up in speed.
The Bülk is the newest bike from Velomobile World, and while it looks even smaller than the Quest, it actually has more shoulder room inside. The size is just in the right places, while it’s lower and slimmer than the Quest where it matters for speed.
